Orchid, Hibiscus and Butterfly Gardens Tour

The Garden houses up to 800 species of orchids from the South East Asian region. Take a walk through the semi circle pergola for the climbing and epiphytic varieties. The rock garden features streams and pond with water lotus, cascading sounds with a network of winding and ramping pathways. Prized orchids of personal collections in bloom are displayed during the Orchid show. A visit in the morning will mesmerize you with the orchid’s fragrance, the burst of colors and the birds chirping with the background sound of water.

Just a stone throw away is the Kuala Lumpur Hibiscus Garden. Hibiscus is the National Flower (Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis) of Malaysia. The garden showcases the various species from the tropical regions. The attractions in the garden include a 4-metre high waterfall, pools and fountains. A lovely colonial style building has been converted into an exhibition hall and a gallery.

Lets step into the Butterfly park, butterflies flying everywhere, some of them are so big and colourful. If you have patience some of them will sits on you, take a photo with them. Take note of the variety of fruits and flowers they feed on. The layout of the butterfly enclosure is a landscaping work of art in itself with numerous pathways, bridges, waterfalls, variety of plants. Be impressed by the collection of insects like the praying mantis, rhinoceros beetles, tortoise, and bugs. Take home fond memories of these parks and get a souvenir of an orchid, butterfly or a beetle as your travel collection.
